Not as advertised. Two-way talk volume too low. Short battery life.,
I was extremely excited when I ordered this monitor. Seemed to have all of the features I was looking for.
The only reason this monitor gets two stars is because the picture is crystal clear with no interference. The night vision is exceptional as well. Another cool feature is you can zoom from the parent unit.
That is the only area where this monitor shines. First off, it comes with 3 removeable Ni-MH batteries for the receiver, not a built in Lithium Ion battery. I called amazon customer service, and they sent me another unit. Again, the same Ni-MH batteries. The monitor is advertised to last 3 hours on a full charge. Completely not the case. It only lasts MAYBE 40 minutes.
Second, this monitor interferes with the other two monitors in my house horribly, to the point it rendered them useless. I thought by putting the camera on a different channel (you have channel 1-4) may improve the situation. It did not, and revealed another problem. Every time you turn the receiver off, it defaults to channel 1 when you turn it on. You have to go into the menu each time and change it back to the channel you have selected.
Last, you can set the volume for the ‘baby’, which is the volume for the speaker on the camera when you use the two-way talk feature. At the highest setting (9), it is not nearly loud enough especially if you use any type of sound machine or music for your child. Unless you move the camera right next to the head of the bed (which renders the video portion useless if you have more than one child in the room), you can forget about your child hearing you. I literally had to scream into the parent unit (receiver), to get my child to respond to me. Even then she normally said “Mommy, what you say?”
All in all, a huge disappointment. I am returning both units I have.
