Question by Anonymous Person: “Placenta fully aged”- what does this mean? Why do I have so many Dr. appointments? Someone please help!
1. I have a bicornuate uterus
2. I have low amniotic fluids
3. My placenta is “fully aged” [?]

So I had an ultrasound appointment today [I normally have them every 2 weeks].. Well my Specialist took one look at the ultrasound and shook his said saying, “No, no.. Her placenta is fully aged. Put her on monitoring” and walked out.. So the ultrasound technician said now I’m on monitoring.. Which means I have to drive out of town twice a week to get an ultrasound at some special place.. I think it’s like a half an hour away.. Not that bad.. But should I be freak out?? I mean, I have my specialist/ultrasound visits every other week, my regular OB visits every other week, and now these out of town ultrasound visits twice a week??? It seems a little excessive to me, is something wrong?? What does it mean my “placenta is fully aged”??? My baby is only 4 lbs right now.. I’m so scared he will be born too early and have poor lungs, deformed body parts and grow to be short… HELP
I’m 33 weeks pregnant, currently.

I don’t think technology is the answer here. I read a good suggestion somewhere, which was to put one of the kid’s toys or articles of clothing on the passenger seat next to you / on top of your purse or bag.

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens announced the birth of a male reticulated giraffe calf on July 7th at 6:07 pm He had to first handle a six foot drop from the end of the birth canal to the ground, but since movement is normally slow until the hips are clear, his front feet and head were close to the ground by the time the free fall began. Giving birth while standing is normal for giraffes and is natures way of breaking the umbilical cord. The calf weighs 128 pounds, is five and one-half feet tall and doing well. The calf will be in the giraffe outside holding area beginning this weekend and can be seen up close from the train. Hi,

i have a request from a client which is as follows:

His son sleep walks and he would like to have some sort of “baby monitor” (but not a baby monitor) device that he can use to listen in the kids room while he sleeps. The device we’re looking for has to be network capable, meaning we need it to connect to a wireless or wired network connection. If you have any advice please list them im open to all suggestions (except using a baby monitor since the distance is too much–even if the distance is good enough, we do not want it to be a baby monitor)

Hi Chet, this cannot be considered. The child sleepwalks, if they have an IP camera then they will need to be by their computer or have a computer near their bed to listen in. It has to be something that doesnt require additional equipment. It needs to be A Monitoring Device and a Listening Device that they can place near their bed so they can hear if the child walks. thats why i said it needs to be like a Baby Monitor.

Use a network camera with audio! There are lots of them available and the camera part doesn’t have to be used. There are many of them available and work on ethernet. Some offer 2way audio like these http://www.brickhousesecurity.com/internet-camera-server-212.html

You can get wired or wireless ones, just plug and go.

If you don’t have any network or computers operating, why network capable? Just a wired intercom would work it only takes two wires and in ethernet four are unused so use a pair of them for the connection. What do you want to use? Even a good IP phone could be used, many have the “monitor” button or intercom on them, but again, no extra equipment sorta makes it a non-starter.
